Ceylon Cinnamon Tea: A Simple Recipe for Cozy Evenings

1 min read

Warm, naturally sweet and ready in ten minutes. Learn how to brew the perfect cup of Ceylon cinnamon tea at home.

There is nothing quite like a warm cup of cinnamon tea at the end of a long day. Made with real Ceylon cinnamon sticks, it is fragrant, gently sweet and completely caffeine-free.

What you need

- 2 Ceylon cinnamon sticks

- 2 cups of water

- 1 teaspoon of honey (optional)

- A slice of lemon or ginger (optional)

Method

1. Bring the water to a gentle boil in a small pot.

2. Add the cinnamon sticks and reduce the heat.

3. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes until the water turns golden brown.

4. Strain into a cup and add honey or lemon to taste.

Tips

Break the sticks into smaller pieces for a stronger flavour. Leftover tea keeps in the fridge for up to two days and is delicious over ice.
